How do I care for my scented candle?

FIRST STEPS:

  • IMPORTANT: If your candle has decorative melts on its surface, we advise you to remove them before the first burn. These melts are decorative pieces used to decorate the surface. You can melt them in a separate burner :)
  • Light your candle on a flat, draft-free surface.
  • Let the wax melt to the edge.

MAINTENANCE:

Candles

  • On subsequent burnings, keep the wick trimmed or subtly remove possible soot. The wax is the fuel for the wick, and if it has excess soot on it, it will not burn properly. Always leave about 5-7 millimeters above the wax level.
  • When blowing out the candle, be sure to leave the wick straight and centered. This will prevent it from sinking or tilting.

How are melts or melties used?

  • Melts or melties are small blocks of scented wax that melt slowly as they heat up.
  • Put 1 or 2 portions of melts on the top of your burner, and very carefully, light and place a tea candle inside the burner, just below the melt, then let the scented melt release its aroma throughout the room and enjoy! Then, let the aromatic melt release its aroma throughout the room and enjoy!
  • Our melts are made of aromatic soy wax and can be used in any electric or traditional (tea candle) oil/wax burner.
  • Do not use in steam aroma diffusers, do not handle when melted, do not swallow, even if you want to sink your teeth into them :)
  • When the melt no longer gives off aroma (below you have the aromatic duration times), it is recommended that you remove the remains of wax from the burner. To do this, wait until the wax is almost cold, but not solid, and remove the wax with the help of kitchen paper.

Do you have stock or do you make to order?

As small artisans, everything you see on our website is made to order and made to order exclusively for you, following the natural deadlines of craftsmanship.

Once you place your order, we get to work to create your personalized candle :)

We do not have a physical stock in our workshop except for very specific and special occasions such as FLASH SALES.

More basic care tips:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets.
  • Extinguish the candle when approximately one centimeter of wax remains, or the candle is more than 90% consumed.
  • Once extinguished, do not touch or attempt to move the candle until it has cooled sufficiently.
  • Never burn a candle near anything flammable, always place the candle on heat-resistant surfaces.
  • Do not place candles near a draft or near a heat source.

How long will my melt or candle last?

Your scented candle has arrived and... It's time to light it!

With proper maintenance:

  • 500 ml. (Limited Edition) 100 - 120 hours.
  • 410 ml. 70-80 hours.
  • 220 ml. +40 hours.
  • 300 ml. Premium Cans 300 ml. +60 hours.
  • Melts 80/120/300 gr. (each 20 gr. bonbon has a shelf life of 6 to 10 hours.)
  • Melts Tablet 6 cavities (between 90gr and 100gr): Each ounce has a shelf life of approximately 3 to 4 hours.
  • Melts 4 cavities (70 ml.): Each ounce has a shelf life of 3 to 4 hours.

Why is “healing” so important in organic soy candles?

All our candles are created, designed and poured by hand in our workshop in Pamplona, Navarra, following and respecting each and every one of the natural processes of soy wax:

Our vegetable and organic certified BIOINSPECTA soy wax and the set of IFRA essences, without CMR, phthalates or toxics that we pour, require that a certain curing time is respected so that the molecules of each essence and of the soy wax itself are properly united, compacted and “stay still”.

And... Why is this so important?

This process of days of curing can vary according to factors such as the aromatic composition of the chosen candle, the ambient temperature, the humidity, the type of packaging, etc., and each factor must be taken into account to understand its reaction and finally achieve a stable and lasting aromatic release.

Can I customize any candle?

At Monsters Candles®, you can customize almost any candle in the CUSTOMIZATION section. Please note that these customizations require additional time.

  • Complete customizations

Preparation time for custom orders may vary depending on the complexity of the requests. We will do our best to ship your order on time, but if we take a little longer, it's because we want to create the perfect candle for you.If you have questions about customization time, feel free to email us at contacto@monsterscandles.com before or during the order process.

What is a FLASH SALE?

Flash Sales are special editions available for a limited time with reduced STOCK quantities. If you only add these units to your cart, the preparation time is 24 to 48 hours.

The Flash Sale includes an exclusive launch promotion that, once sold out, will no longer be available.

What is a Pre-Sale?

PRE-SALE items are available as a “pre-sale” for a few days, and have an exclusive launch promotion. When this period runs out, you will no longer be able to purchase the product with the launch promotion. The only option to purchase the same item after a Pre-Sale is to order the item on demand.

You can pre-purchase your Limited Edition candle or melts, and we will begin the manufacturing process the next business day after the end of the pre-sale. If your order includes a pre-sale item along with other products, they will be shipped at the same time.

Can I add an article to an existing order?

Of course, if you would like to add an item or two to an existing order, please email us at contacto@monsterscandles.com with your order number and we will add the new item to your order.

MAXIMUM TWO ITEMS. The lead time for this new order will change, starting again the same day or the next business day if it is a weekend or holiday.

Is the candle that I will receive the same as the one in the product photo?

Our scented candles, made with vegetable wax, organic dyes and biodegradable glitter, may present slight variations in color, texture or glitter distribution. These imperfections are characteristic of an ecological material and reflect its natural origin.

Due to their artisan and manual elaboration, the pouring of the frosting and the decoration of the melts may differ slightly from the photos, although they always retain their essence and are as close as possible to the original description.

Can I cancel or return my order?

As this is a personalized and handcrafted product, unfortunately we do not accept returns or cancellations, so it is vitally important that you take care when proceeding to the payment gateway.

However, both at the payment gateway and at checkout, we will make sure that the items you are going to purchase are the ones you want.
