How do I care for my candle?

FIRST STEPS:

  • IMPORTANT : If your candle has decorative melts on its surface , we recommend removing them before the first burn . These melts are decorative pieces used to decorate the surface. You can melt them in a separate burner :)
  • Light your candle on a flat, draft-free surface.
  • Let the wax melt to the edge.

MAINTENANCE :

Candles

  • For subsequent burns, keep the wick trimmed or gently remove any soot . Wax is the fuel for the wick, and if it has soot on it, it will not light properly . Always leave about 5-7 millimeters above the level of the wax.
  • When you blow out your candle, make sure to leave the wick straight and centered . This will prevent it from sinking or tilting.

Melts / Melties

  • The melts or melties They are small blocks of scented wax that slowly melt when heated.
  • Place 1 or 2 portions of melts on top of your burner, and carefully light and place a tea light inside the burner, just below the melt . Then, let the aromatic melt release its aroma throughout the room and enjoy!
  • Our melts are made from aromatic soy wax and can be used in any electric or traditional (tea light) oil/wax burner.
  • Do not use in steam aroma diffusers.
  • Do not handle when molten.
  • DO NOT EAT, even if you want to sink your teeth into them :)
  • When the melt no longer releases aroma (you can see the duration of the aroma below), it is recommended that you remove the wax residue from the burner. To do this, wait until the wax is almost cold, but not solid, and remove the wax with the help of kitchen paper.

BASIC SAFETY TIPS:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Extinguish the candle when there is approximately one centimeter of wax left, or the candle is more than 90% consumed. Once extinguished, do not touch or attempt to move the candle until it has cooled sufficiently.
  • Never burn a candle near anything flammable.
  • Always place the candle on heat-resistant surfaces.
  • Do not place candles near a draft or near a heat source.

How long will my candle or melt last?

With proper maintenance:

  • 500 ml. (Limited Edition) 100 - 120 hours.
  • 410 ml. 70-80 hours.
  • 220 ml. +40 hours.
  • Premium 300 ml cans. +60 hours.
  • Melts 80/120/300 gr. (each 20 gr. candy lasts 6 to 10 hours.)
  • Melts Tablet 6 cavities (Between 90gr and 100gr).: Each ounce lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours.
  • Melts 4 cavities (70 ml.): Each ounce lasts 3 to 4 hours.

When will I recive my order?

  • STANDARD ORDERS:

Our usual handcrafted preparation time for our candles and melts can be 10 to 12 business days (Monday to Friday).

Pre-sales, Customizations and Exclusive Editions are exceptions that may cause the delivery time to be slightly increased. We explain why:

  • SPECIAL EDITIONS / EXCLUSIVE EDITIONS / LIMITED EDITIONS

These candles are unique due to their complex workmanship (personalized jars with scales, textures, metallic shine, etc.) . The entire process of "customizing" glass jars is carried out in our workshop and always in an artisanal way .

It is a manual, natural, sometimes unpredictable and laborious process that we treat with great respect and care to ensure a realistic result.

In these cases, and always following the natural evolution of the product, the production process may be extended.

  • PRE-SALES:

The PRE-ORDER option for an item in our online store is temporary. These items are only available during that period and when it ends, there is no possibility of repurchasing them .

During that time, you will be able to purchase your exclusive candle or melts in advance , and the production process will begin the next business day after completion .

If your order includes a pre-order and other items from our website, everything will be shipped at the same time.

  • PERSONALIZED CANDLES:

At Monsters Candles® you can customize any candle you want in the CUSTOM CANDLE section , and like any customization, it takes time.

The preparation time for orders containing personalized items may vary depending on complexity and requests. We will try to get it out as soon as possible, but if it takes a while, please be patient, we are trying to create the perfect candle for you :)

Can I add an item to an existing order?

Of course, if you want to add an item or two to an existing order, just email us at contacto@monsterscandles.com with your order number and we will add the new item to your order. MAXIMUM TWO ITEMS.

The preparation period for this new order will change , starting again on the same day or the next business day if it is a weekend or holiday.

Is the candle I receive the same as the one in the product photo?

By using organic dyes and biodegradable glitter , our candles may vary slightly in color tone, the glitter may not be distributed the same as in the product photo and the pouring of the frosting may not look exactly the same as in the product photo. In turn, the decoration of the melts may be modified in exceptional cases, although they will always maintain their essence and will be as faithful as possible to the original photo and product description.

Can I cancel my order, or return it?

As this is a custom and handcrafted product, we unfortunately do not accept returns or cancellations , so it is vitally important to be careful when proceeding to the payment gateway. However, both at the payment gateway and at the end, we will make sure that the items you are going to purchase are the ones you want.
